With the BP Settlement filed and preliminary approval from the U.S. District Court in New Orleans granted, many people have questions and concerns about what it means for them and their businesses. Over the next few weeks, there will be a number of town hall meetings in the Key West area for people to have their questions answered.

These meetings are organized by Businesses by the Beach, a coalition of attorneys who have been working on BP litigation for over 18 months. Two meetings already took place on April 26, May 1 and May 3. Additional meetings are scheduled for 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday May 10 and Thursday, May 17. The location is:

Harvey Government Center
1200 Truman Avenue
2nd Floor
Key West, FL
4:00 PM to 7:00 PM

All business owners should plan to attend one of these meetings, especially those who suffered a revenue loss in 2010 and even claimants who are already involved in the case. This will be an important opportunity learn about the terms of the settlement; meet with attorneys working on the case; and network with other business owners.
